The New York Mets have been hovering around the .500 mark for much of the season. However, with 100 games left, there is still plenty of time to eclipse that mark and make a push for the NL East title. Here is what to buy, sell, and hold about the Mets’ season so far.

The New York Mets enter a weekend series at home against the Colorado Rockies with 100 games left in their 2019 season. To say there has been no shortage of drama so far, would be a massive understatement. The Mets have bot beaten and lost to teams such as the struggling Marlins. They’ve had some monumental collapses in both Los Angeles and Arizona, and defending NL Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom, yes him, get shellacked in starts this season.

Throw in all of those things on top of a manager constantly coaching for his job, as well as, a plethora of random injuries, and you have the 2019 season so far.

Miraculously, through it all, the Mets are only a handful of games out of the division lead, even with a sub .500 record entering this weekend’s series. While I wouldn’t go as far as to say the Amazins are in the upper echelon of MLB teams, I also wouldn’t go as far as to say it is not impressive how they have held on to stay within a stone’s throw of first place.

With all this in mind, let’s play a little game. New York is the city of the stock market, after all, so let’s pick a thing to buy, sell, and hold from the Mets’ season so far. Here is what I think will stay, what I think is too soon to call, and what I wouldn’t count on anymore. Let’s get started on what to buy.
