Kemba Walker, UFA

Kemba Walker is as talented as almost any point guard in the league. He would be an excellent “Plan B” if Kyrie Irving surprises everyone and signs with another team. The former UConn star out of the Bronx has played his entire eight-year NBA career in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Walker is both a good ball distributor and outside shooter. Those skills have put him into three all-star games. He is very good, but not a franchise player. Obviously, the Knicks would need an additional piece outside of Walker to make them a legit contender, but he would be a great addition to the team.

We all know how much Cardiac Kemba loves the Garden.

Klay Thompson, UFA

Klay Thompson comes from NBA royalty. His father Mychal is a two-time NBA Champion and current Los Angeles Lakers broadcaster. Although his dad says it’s unlikely Klay signs with L.A., he also seems like the least likely to sign with the Knicks out of all the players listed above. He’s got a good thing going at Golden State.

However, there is an off-chance he’d be willing to break-up the splash bros and try his hand in the Eastern Conference. Klay, who, aside from being a top sniper from three-point range, is one of the best two-way guards in the league, would be a perfect fit on a Knicks team desperate to find shooters.
