Another solid choice for the Nets at 17 would be former Kentucky Wildcat Tyler Herro.

Head coach John Calipari of the Kentucky Wildcats has a reputation for producing solid NBA talents such as Anthony Davis, Devon Booker, DeMarcus Cousins, and a host others. The next great Wildcat may just be shooting guard, Tyler Herro.

Herro averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in his freshman year for the Wildcats while helping Kentucky reach the Elite Eight, where they lost to the Auburn Tigers.

Unlike Romeo Langford, Herro will make a living in the NBA by being a sharpshooter. Herro had a 35.5% three-point percentage, plus a 46.2% field goal percentage this past season and he should keep it up once he reaches the NBA.

Not only can he hit three-pointers consistently, but he also has a range that would rival his future professional counterparts. For this reason, he will be a hot commodity once he is in the NBA.

The former Wildcats star has a very similar build to Langford as he is the same height at 6-6 but is only five pounds lighter at 210. This means the Brooklyn Nets would be able to use Herro very similarly to that of Langford but he also has a better shot.

The main problem many believe Herro will encounter once he is in the NBA is that he is not quick enough to compete at the next level. He may struggle to both guard players at the top level and also get to the rim with consistency.

In this aspect, the Nets would get a better prospect in Romeo Langford but they also wouldn’t be making a bad choice in any sense of the word with Tyler Herro.
