Adam Gase and the New York Jets are in the middle of a rift with Le’Veon Bell. Now the trade rumors are swirling.

It may not be the holdout with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Le’Veon Bell is currently going through one of the toughest moments of his career and he hasn’t even played a snap for the New York Jets.

To some extent, I feel bad for the guy. After not getting the payday he was looking for from Pittsburgh, he was able to find a home with the Jets, or at least so he thought. When general manager, Mike Maccagnan was fired last week, all of that changed. Unfortunately the Jets, their fans, and Bell the situation has turned into a nightmare.

When he signed with the New York Jets, Bell was criticized by fans across the league for joining a  squad that wasn’t in as much of a “win-now” mode such as his other option in Indianapolis. Even with that uncertainty, the two-time All-Pro running back was eager to get going and contribute to the green and white.

He was excited and so was Gang Green Nation, but when the Jets fired Maccagnan and head coach Adam Gase stepped in as the interim GM, things changed. Reports started to trickle out about the newly acquired head coach not even wanting Bell in the first place. Those reports would then evolve into trade rumors and now it seems that they could be looking into moving the star running back before the season starts.

I can’t say that I’m surprised, after all, it is the Jets. As a Gang Green fan, I can honestly say that I’m thoroughly disgusted with this franchise. It seems as though every time they are about to break out of mediocrity, they find a way to dig themselves back into that below-average hole.
