KD can make bank in NYC

Not only are the New York Knicks are at the forefront of the Kyrie Irving sweepstakes. His addition would help the Knicks chances of landing another superstar in former MVP and two-time champion, Kevin Durant.

Although the Warriors have been playing fantastic and are practically a shoo-in to win the Western Conference Final and move onto the NBA Finals, there is trouble in paradise.

Three of the Warriors starters will be hitting free agency this offseason which means the Warriors have some decisions to make. The biggest decisions they have to face come with the expiring contracts of Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

Most seem to believe that the back-to-back champions will side with Thompson. Golden State has been playing lights out basketball whenever KD has been out of the lineup. They play more of a team game rather than waiting for Durant to make something happen. Most likely KD becomes the odd man out and heads to free agency.

The most often rumored team related to Kevin Durant thus far has been the New York Knicks, which if you are a Knicks fan, looks pretty good. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense that Durant would sign anywhere other than New York or Golden State seeing that Golden State can continue their dynasty and the Knicks can sign two superstars.

Not only that, but the Knicks still have the third overall pick in this year’s draft. They won’t get Zion Williamson, but chances are they will end up with his teammate, RJ Barrett.
