With the NBA Draft Lottery happening in less than a week, the Knicks have a couple of players they are looking at. Let’s take a look at some players who could potentially play for the New York Knicks.

The New York Knicks finished the 2018-19 NBA season with the worst record in the NBA. This means that the Knicks have a 14% chance to get a pick in the top three and a 100% chance at a pick in the top five.

With the lottery taking place next Tuesday, May 14th, it is time to take a look at a couple of scenarios, as well as some of the players who could potentially end up in a New York Knicks uniform next season.

If the Knicks do wind up with the top pick, it is obvious who they will wind up taking, but if they slip beyond that first pick it then becomes a bit more of a mystery.

There were quite a few fantastic players this season in college basketball and although the players who will be taken in the top three have become obvious, the players taken beyond that third pick are a bit less clear.

The good news for the Knicks is that they don’t have to make a decision between best available player and best player that fits their positional needs. The reason for this is that the Knicks don’t necessarily have a solid player at any position other than center.

Mitchell Robinson has cemented his spot at center, but the other four positions are up for grabs. This means that the Knicks can simply pick the best available player for them once they are on the board.

This strategy has turned out to be the better strategy than drafting for need because in the past we have seen many instances where teams have passed on a better player in order to fill their needs.

Here are some of the players who may become Knickerbockers in the near future.
