Playoff series vs the 76ers

When the Brooklyn Nets were set to face the Philadelphia in their first-round matchup, nobody expected them to even come close to winning one game. But as vulnerable as we have seen Philadelphia this season, the Nets were able to take Game 1 in Philadelphia, which gave the 76ers a wake-up call.

Although the Sixers went on to win the next four games, the Nets fought hard and the series turned into a chippy one quickly. From Joel Embiid’s massive elbow to Jarret Allen’s face, to Jared Dudley and Ben Simmons’ newfound dislike for one another, it’s fair to say that this was one of the most entertaining playoff series’ so far.

It is evident that Simmons, Embiid, and Tobias Harris were able to have their way with the Nets on the offensive end but were unable to blow the Nets out in four straight games, further proving the fight this young Brooklyn team has in them.

This was due to the determination of LeVert, Russell, and Dinwiddie, who are seen as the Nets’ big three, moving forward. One key contributor that struggled after Game 1 was Joe Harris, who led the NBA in three-point percentage (47.4%). He went 1-17 from beyond the arc in Games 2-5 after going 3-4 in Game 1.

In the end, the Nets can only walk away from this season and series against the 76ers and deem it as a success with a bright future ahead of them.
