Quinnen Williams

Mike Esposito, Empire Writes Back

Josh Allen and Nick Bosa are the popular picks here in most mock drafts, but I have to believe that the Jets won’t pass on Quinnen Williams when they’re on the clock. The Alabama product is the most complete defensive prospect in the 2019 draft class, was an absolute force at defensive tackle in 2018 (eight sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss), and the most versatile defensive lineman in the draft, capable of lining up at 5-technique if called upon to do so.

Williams would provide an upgrade at right defensive end and not only give Gang Green arguably one of the best defensive lines in football but an excellent insurance policy in case the franchise is unable to re-sign Leonard Williams, whose contract is set to expire after the 2019 season.

Matthew Travis, Empire Writes Back

Quinnen Williams, defensive tackle, University of Alabama. Quinnen Williams is a fantastic player who kept opposing quarterbacks up at night in 2018 with Alabama. Being a student at the University of Alabama I’m going to miss Williams quite a bit, but any team that ends up with the 6-4, 289-pound beast is going to be lucky.

Williams totaled 71 tackles with eight sacks for a total loss of 19.5 yards in 2018. Pretty good numbers if you ask me. Putting Williams alongside players such as Leonard Williams and CJ Mosley will bolster the Jets defense making them quite feared in the NFL.
