Ed Oliver

The Jets made a lot of big-name acquisitions for their offense this offseason, so they need to turn to defense with the No. 3 selection. Most mocks have them going with either Josh Allen or Quinnen Williams. You can’t argue with either of those selections, but I’m in favor of a bigger swing.

The right guy for New York is Ed Oliver. It’s easy to forget that many scouts had him pegged as the probable No. 1 pick for most of the season. He’s got some question marks about his attitude, but he might be the most talented guy in the entire draft. The Jets need a guy who can be a transcendent player on their defensive line. Oliver has the highest ceiling so he’s the right pick for Gang Green.

Nick Bosa

Nick Bosa from The Ohio State University. This is in many people’s eyes not only the best defensive player in the draft but the best overall player. Bosa is an explosive Defensive End with an athletic toolset a tight end wished they could have.

With a 4.79, 40 Yard Dash, a 33.5 Vertical Jump, and 7.1 second three-cone drill, this is a guy that will get off the line of scrimmage quickly and be a massive issue for any offensive line. If given the opportunity, Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams and the rest of the Jets would love to add Bosa to their already scary front four.
