New York Giants selection with the sixth overall pick – Roundtable

Overview
Curt Macysyn, GMen HQ
With the No. 6 overall selection, the New York Giants have the luxury of letting this deep defensive draft come to them. Much of what Big Blue is able to accomplish with this selection depends on what happens with the teams who select ahead of the G-Men, especially with the quarterback prospects.
If Kyler Murray (Oklahoma) and Dwayne Haskins (Ohio State) go within the first five selections, the Giants may get to write down the name of Josh Allen (Kentucky) or Quinnen Williams (Alabama). If not look for the team to grab New Jersey product Rashan Gary (Michigan) or LSU linebacker Devin White to bolster a sagging defense.
Devin White
Jaymin Bernhardt, Empire Writes Back
Devin White the inside linebacker from LSU. New York football in whole played awful defense all year and the Giants aren’t an exception. White had himself a pretty good Junior year with 123 total tackles. He only had three sacks but had 62 solo tackles which included 12 tackles for loss.
White has that infamous high motor that people always talk about and will be a great addition to a struggling team. Adding Devin White to an already decently talented defensive line that includes Markus Golden and B.J. Goodson might make that line decently stout.
Justin Chaires, Empire Writes Back
Devin White, middle linebacker from LSU. Standing at 6-1 is 240 pounds of mean, nasty, hard-hitting, full motor, non-stopping defender. Devin ran 4.42, 40-yard dash at the combine and also added 22 reps on the bench press to show his strength.
He led the SEC in total tackles with 123, including 12 tackles for loss, three sacks. Throw in eight quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries NS Devin White is everything the Giants need and don’t have. He would be a shot of adrenaline to a weak defensive unit.
