New York Knicks: 3 players to watch in the this year’s Final Four

F Aaron Henry, Michigan State University
While he won’t be a real draft prospect for the next year or two, Michigan State forward Aaron Henry is someone that the Knicks should be watching regardless.
The freshman forward only averaged 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in 38 games this year for the Spartans, but it’s the noise he’s made in the second half of the season (and particularly the post-season) that his put him on the radar as a future NBA regular.
He can also take coaching pretty well, as arguably one of the most talked about moments of this year’s NCAA Tournament was when he got an earful from head coach Tom Izzo during a timeout.
Henry has had a very solid tournament, however. which included a breakout 20-8-6 performance against LSU in the Sweet 16.
He’s a 6’6” forward who is long and can defend the perimeter with the best of them. He can also shoot the three pretty well, as he shot 36.8% from range this season.
Again, these are two areas of need for the Knicks. Even though he won’t be coming to the NBA for another year or two and the Knicks roster construction could look different by then, 3 and D guys will always have a place in the NBA.
Despite the fact that he’s a few years away from the Knicks potential drafting him, Henry is still a player to watch in this year’s Final Four.
