We take a stab at our first New York Jets mock draft since the Combine. It’s our first complete mock of the year, and the Jets get their man at number 3.

The New York Jets have had quite the active off-season. Seriously, there are parts of this team that don’t resemble what they did at the end of the 2018 season.

I mean, the Jets needed him, but who ever thought that the Jets would land the prize free agent of them all, Le’Veon Bell? Many fans were sure it would fall apart and that Bell would end up going somewhere else.

Gang Green is clearly on the right track. Mike Maccagnan has started to find his way, finally. Granted, it’s his poor job in the past that set this all up. But that doesn’t mean we should take away the job he has done with the current free agency period.

But as they say, the show must go on. The off-season process must go on, and that means preparation for the NFL draft. No matter the moves that have been made, the NFL stops for nobody.

For anybody who forgot in the midst of the wild free agency period, the NFL Combine has come and gone. The future stars of this great game have strutted their stuff for executives all over this league.

The post-Combine period includes pro days, team visits, interviews and a whole lot of tape watching. It all leads us into the next big event, the NFL Draft.

What else does this period include? Mock drafts of course! What else would us writers to during this “slow” period other than speculate? It’s what we do best.

This morning, we are going to undertake our first full Jets mock of the off-season, and our first mock since the Combine ended.

Let’s get right to the number three pick overall.
