The New York Giants have officially traded Odell Beckham Jr. In return, they got the 17th overall pick in next months draft, plus a third rounder and Jabrill Peppers. But it’s that first rounder that could truly help out Big Blue.

The New York Giants have traded away arguably their biggest star, Odell Beckham Jr., for “non-football reasons,” but the question is, how does this impact the way they go about next months draft?

The Odell trade sent shockwaves through the NFL and it right away became the biggest story in the league. The trade fell just mere days after they traded away another expensive talent, Olivier Vernon, also to the Browns in return for a need.

However, with the trade, the Giants competitive window this season came to a close. The Giants clearly seem more invested in finding talent for the future rather than give the talent they previously had a real chance.

The Giants are all-in on the 2019 NFL Draft where they acquired multiple picks including one another in the first round. So, with all of that, how can the Giants approach the draft this year?

The Giants getting a second draft pick within the top-20 leaves us with three possible scenarios for what the Giants can do.

They can one; draft a quarterback and an offensive lineman with their two first round picks.

They can two; use their 17th overall pick which they got from the Browns to package for Josh Rosen.

Or they can three; draft a quarterback or offensive lineman and a wide receiver such as D.K. Metcalf with their two first round picks.

This trade gives the Giants a bunch of possible decisions they can go with, but these three are by far the three most likely outcomes.

With obvious needs at quarterback and the offensive line, plus a new hole at wide receiver, these three scenarios are the only three that would make sense to me.

This being said, lets dive into the first possible scenario.
