With the NFL Combine approaching this weekend in Indianapolis, here are a few players for New York Jets fans to look forward to watching.

The NFL Combine is almost here. Can you believe it? The New York Jets, along with the rest of the teams are on their way to Indianapolis to see first hand, the top college prospects being put through their paces. The next superstar of the NFL could be hitting the field this weekend.

For anyone who is unaware, here is the schedule for who takes the field when:

  • Friday March 1: PK, ST, OL, RB
  • Saturday March 2: QB, WO, TE
  • Sunday March 3: DL, LB
  • Monday March 4: DB

As you can see by the layout of the workouts, there are multiple days that Jets fans will be interested in. Although, isn’t it nice to be ultra-focused on the QB workouts? Remember watching that guy in the above picture? Good times, good times.

Everyone has to remember to take these drills with a grain of salt. Some of them are important, but some are just data. I mean, the forty yard dash really doesn’t mean much when talking about an offensive lineman, does it?

It will be much more important to see how strong a lineman is, and how his footwork is when pass blocking.

Watch these things with relevant football thoughts attached and you will learn a lot.

With that said, the Combine is also the chance for us to see a lot of players that we don’t normally get to see. We know the really big names, but some of the potential mid-round choices are new to most, if not all of us.

So, who do we look for when this weekend hits. In the upcoming pages I will give you one player per day that I will be looking forward to seeing and why.

How might they fit? What am I looking for? Let’s get right to it.
