The New York Knicks are currently tied for the worst record in the league with their mere 11 wins, all eyes are on potentially drafting Zion Williamson. So really, all Knicks fans have thought about recently is him and the draft.

The New York Knicks have been horrible over the course of the 2018-19 season, with all eyes on getting Zion Williamson in the draft. Winning only 11 games, and trading away their best player, Zion seems tp be the guy they want with the first pick. Now, he could be out due to injury for an extended period of time.

Zion Williamson has taken the basketball world by storm with his insane body frame and unbelievable versatility, and he was presumed to be the number one overall pick. But now that could be in jeopardy as the Duke star went down with a knee injury on Wednesday.

Williamson played for only 36 seconds in the Blue Devils rivalry game on Wednesday night as he went down with a knee injury after literally blowing through his shoe only 33 seconds into the game.

Now with little information available about the star and his injury, Knicks fans should be prepared for the worst. Could this mean he’ll be out for the season, out for longer than that, or maybe just a couple of days or weeks?

Whatever it is no one knows for sure yet but more information will undoubtedly be available on Thursday at some point.

As for right now, all we know is that Williamson played in only 36 seconds of his first ever Duke UNC game on Wednesday and that Mike Krzyzewski said it is a mild knee sprain.

Unfortunately Krzyzewski said they are “very concerned” about Zion, which could mean anything, but it definitely does not sound good. Zion has been a force to be reckoned with this season averaging 21.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

Unbelievable numbers from everyone, but even better when you consider the fact that he is a freshman in college. For that reason he has been atop every mock draft since the season began, and now the Knicks could be impacted due to his injury.

If he is in fact out for an extended period of time and could miss playing time next season after he is drafted, then the Knicks have some questions to answer.

Is it worth taking a guy who could be out for an extended period of time? Do they go with a safe bet in his current teammate, RJ Barrett? Or do they hope he is only out for a short period of time and draft him because of his potential?

dark. Next. What will DSJ's legacy be in New York?

These questions could answer themselves this week depending on how the MRI comes back, but these could be some serious concerns for the Knicks going into the 2019 NBA Draft.
