We take a look ahead, way ahead to the NFL draft. Here is a two-day mock draft, covering the first three rounds for the New York Jets.

It’s very early in the off-season, New York Jets fans. Free agency starts in about three weeks. That bidding war is one of the most exciting times of year for fans of all teams.

The NFL Combine is also nearing its beginning. February 26 starts the process. The top collegians will be weighed, measured, interviewed and put through their paces so teams can take their best guess as to the next stars of the sport.

Eventually it will be time for the NFL draft. We will all gather around our television sets, or our phones and devices, to see who Mike Maccagnan is going to pull the trigger on. Who is going to be part of the future with Sam Darnold and the Jets? We will find out soon enough.

But you know what? The draft will be here before we know it. The time is going to fly by. What does that mean to us? It’s time to start talking about the upcoming NFL draft.

It’s what we do, speculate.

This morning we are going to take an early look at a mock draft. It’s a very early, pre-Combine mock draft, but a mock draft nonetheless.

We called it a two-day mock draft because it covers the first two days, but the Jets only pick in two out of the three rounds. Calling it a three round mock wouldn’t make much sense.

With that, we get right to it.

The draft was executed using the database from First-Pick.com, so keep in mind the choices are based on the computer selections.
