Here are three unrestricted free agents that played for the New York Jets last season that they must prioritize and re-sign for 2019.

The New York Jets are just beginning what will prove to be the biggest offseason of Mike Maccagnan’s tenure. We are stuck with him as the general manager, now the spotlight is on him to get some talent in the building to support Adam Gase and his staff.

Otherwise it may be his last offseason as the general manager.

We’ve done, and will do more work on outside players that need to be brought to New York. Everyone knows they need an edge rusher, they need help on the offensive line and they need more weapons for Sam Darnold.

There will be time to talk about free agent candidates, and there will be ample time to talk about potential selections in the upcoming NFL draft.

But what about players that were on the team last year? Of course we are talking about the free agents. Specifically I am looking at the unrestricted free agents.

Heading into the offseason, the Jets sport 24 unrestricted free agents according to Spotrac. This just in, that’s a lot of players to consider.

They can’t let every one of them go elsewhere, can they? I guess they can but it wouldn’t be smart. Some of them will be kept around.

Here are three unrestricted free agents that the Jets need to do all they can to re-sign.
