New Orleans Pelicans

We all got cheated last season of the potential of the Pelicans when DeMarcus Cousins got injured and then signed with the Warriors.

Pairing another big man with Anthony Davis seems almost unfair for opposing teams. It made all guards scared to drive in the lane.  The fear of being swatted by either big man was very real.

Davis is currently sidelined with a finger injury, but is expected to come back soon.

The team also announced that Nikola Mirotic will be out at least a week with a calf strain meaning this team really needs help as soon as possible.

Currently sitting on the outside of the playoffs, the Pelicans really need someone to come in and give them instant offense if they want to return to the playoffs. Kanter can be that guy who can instantly contribute on both ends of the court.

Now with the news that he wants out of New Orleans, a three-team trade could be in play.

Maybe if the team makes a trade it can be a last-ditch effort to keep their franchise star. Maybe it will be enough to keep Davis one more season and back off of his trade demand.
