It is officially tank time for the New York Knicks. In hopes of getting a high draft pick, the New York Knicks have placed three of their better players on the trade block.

The New York Knicks are in full-blown tank mode and it’s starting to look like that goaltending at the end of the game in London was on purpose.

The Knicks have been horrible this season and it appears as if they are about to get even worse.

According to Marc Stein, the Knicks have made Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr, and Enes Kanter available for trade.

The Knicks currently sit at 10-36, above only the Cavaliers for the worst record in the league who are currently 9-40.

This being said, it makes complete sense for the Knicks to tank in hopes of securing a top-three pick in this year’s draft.

Should the Knicks trade any of these three, you can expect it to be for picks as that is what New York seems to be after.

Without Kristaps Porzingis who we still don’t have a timeline for, the Knicks seem to be lost on the court.

They have no leadership and aside from their young guns Kevin Knox, Allonzo Trier and Mitchell Robinson, they seem to have no bright-side/future.

So what do you do when you don’t have a bright future?

You build for the draft, it’s what the 76ers did and look where they are now.

With this years draft class looking to be the best in a very long time, the Knicks have a fantastic opportunity to get a franchise changing player in someone like Zion Williamson.

Pairing Zion with Kristaps Porzingis next season would be a scary duo, and add Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson and Allonzo Trier to that, and you’ve got a team with potential to make some noise.

The Knicks have a long way to go before they are contending for the playoffs but steering into the tank is a great start.
