Going for it.

I hate to bore you with stats. But, the Nets are kind of hard to explain. You have to watch the way they grind and the way they fight to truly understand why they win or lose.

However, a big reason for their winning is Kenny Atkinson’s formula.

Part of that formula is being a solid three-point shooting team. The Nets are exactly that, and there is still work to be done there.

This season, so far, the Nets rank in the top five in three pointers made as a team. They rank fourth in the NBA with 570 made. All these stats are subject to change, obviously.

But, that is not what is impressive. The Nets making this many threes means they are attempting a lot and they also rank top 10 in the NBA in 3P%.

The teams that rank above the Nets in three pointers made are the Rockets, Celtics, and Bucks. Teams that are right behind them are the Warriors, Mavericks, and Raptors.

All of those teams but the Mavericks are in the playoffs right now.

So, the Nets found what works around the league and made it happen. It is a shooter happy league and the Nets are doing well at this.

The Nets are really going for it by doing so. They need to make threes in order to win games. You don’t need me to tell you that.

What I can tell you is that shooting three-point baskets works and the Nets are one of the best in the NBA at doing so.

This is a formula they must keep trying to make work. If it holds, they will likely be shooting their way to the playoffs and it is for sure a reason they are .500 right now.
