2015 Miami Dolphins

More from Empire Writes Back

Like I said on the previous page, we start one year before Gase’s arrival.

The Dolphins were coming off of an 8-8 season the previous year under Joe Philbin and were hoping to take a step forward.

That didn’t happen.

They finished 6-10 and Joe Philbin lost his job during the season.

The offense wasn’t great, ranked 22nd in DVOA (via Football Outsiders). Miami was 26th in yards per game with 331.7.

Ryan Tannehill was in his fourth season and it was a solid one. He didn’t miss a game, completing 61.9% of his passes, throwing for 24 touchdowns vs. ten interceptions.

Keep Tannehill’s numbers in mind as we move ahead in the journey through Gase’s teams.

Following the season they cleaned house, and they wanted an offensive mind to come help Ryan Tannehill get to the next level.

In walks Adam Gase. Was he able to get the job done? Let’s move to 2016.
