The New York Giants are committed to Odell  Beckham Jr, however, Eli   Manning’s future is up in the air. We look at the pros and cons of keeping both of them for 2019.

The New York Giants had a dismal 2017 season and it was much to due to the drama surrounding Odell Beckham Jr and Eli Manning.

Last year, they finished 3-13.

This year, was another disappointing year as they finished 5-11 and didn’t make the playoffs. It was the fourth season of the last five that the Giants have had double-digit losses.

2018 was supposed to better than last year, especially with the acquisition of running back Saquon Barkley.

Unfortunately, this year wasn’t much better and now the Giants have to focus on the 2019 season and rebuild.

Giants General Manager, Dave Gettleman, talked with reporters on Wednesday and said that they are evaluating everything.

Here’s what he said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN:

"“I’m committed to making the best decision in the interest of the New York Football Giants. “We’re in the evaluation process. OK, I know that you guys want answers now, but very frankly I didn’t come in [New Year’s Day]. I’m going to do what I do, which is get in my office and watch film. … My commitment is to make this team the best team it can be. And if that happens to have Eli playing quarterback, it does. We’re going to evaluate everything. Everything’s on the table for us.”"

The biggest question facing the Giants this offseason is will Eli Manning be back at quarterback.

Gettleman didn’t commit to Manning being part of the Giants future plans.

Does that mean the Eli won’t be back in 2019?

While Manning’s future is up in the air, Odell Beckham Jr’s future is not.

OBJ is part of the Giants future while Eli might not be there in 2019.

With this, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of keeping Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr.
