Looking back on the 2018 New York Yankees, New York Giants, New York Knicks, and all New York teams
The Buffalo Bills in 2018
Breakdown
In 2018, the Buffalo Bills turned the page.
For the first time since the 1999 season, and the 2000 calendar year, they played in a playoff game.
The Buffalo Bills have been the laughing-stock of the NFL for years, but 2017 was the year they changed that at least a little by opening the 2018 year playing in a playoff game.
The Bills played in their playoff game on January 7, 2018.
Unfortunately, the game didn’t go quite as planned as they went on to lose 10-3 against the Jaguars, but it gave Bills fans some life.
Following their playoff loss, the Bills looked forward to the NFL Draft in which they held the 12th and 22nd overall picks.
Something the Bills needed desperately was a quarterback seeing they had traded Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns.
With this in mind, the Bills traded their 12th pick, among other picks, to the Buccaneers. In return, the Bills got the seventh overall pick.
With the seventh pick the Bills took Josh Allen, quarterback out of Wyoming, who they hoped would get them back to the playoffs.
Unfortunately, that was not the case and in his 12 games he threw for 2074 yards, 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions after battling injuries and being benched to start the year.
The Bills finished the 2018 season at 6-10 and third in the AFC East.
The 2018 season was a huge disappointment and the Bills found out they had a ton of holes that needed to be filled.
The Bills have holes at wide receiver, offensive and defensive tackle, running back, tight end, cornerback, and many other places.
With the ninth overall pick, the Bills could be looking at someone such as defensive lineman, Rashan Gary out of Michigan, or defensive end, Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson.
Whoever the Bills decide on with their first round pick, expect it to be in one of the positions mentioned above.
Best moment
So with the ups of the 2017-18 season and the downs of the 2018-19 season, what was the Bills top moment?
The Best moment of 2018 for the Bills would one hundred percent be their playoff game against the Jaguars. Even though the Bills lost 10-3, this gave Bills Mafia some life.
It was the Bills first playoff game since the 1999 season and Bills fans traveled.
The game was in Jacksonville but it looked as if it were in Buffalo. I’m sure Bills Mafia was breaking tables before the game and cheering on the Bills every second of the game.
Playing in your first playoff game in almost 20 years is a huge deal, and because of it Bills fans showed out.
Although it didn’t go as well as Bills fans had hoped, it gave them hope and it showed they are trending in the right direction under Head Coach Sean McDermott.
