Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills finished the season 6-10 that is a very familiar record for them. They finished 6-10 in 2011, 2012, 2013.

In between that was a pair of 9-7’s, but either way, that is a lot of mediocre to bad to football. This year was very circumstantial.

The Bills probably had one of the worst rosters in the entire NFL. They lost Tyrod Taylor, Richie Incognito, and Eric Wood in one offseason.

LeSean McCoy, in 2018, just ended his only truly terrible season of his career.

Nathan Peterman started Week1, then was released by December. Due to injury, they had to play Derek Anderson who laid eggs, then they started Matt Barkley, who embarrassed the Jets.

So, it’s been an over the top complicated year for the Bills in terms of QB.

The exception is that all of this happened while rookie sensation Josh Allen was benched to start the year, then hurt for four games shortly after.

Either way, the Bills surprised zero people this year. They made the playoffs then did nothing to show they were going to make it back. They were just as bad as everyone would have thought.

Josh Allen may have silenced a few critics, but still has a long way to go, but seems to be worth the top 10 pick.

The Bills have a real defense, that likely won’t change with the main corps, Tre’Davious White, Matt Milano, Lorenzo Alexander, all under contract next year.

Kyle Williams has played his last game as a Buffalo Bills, but I will talk about that more later once I am ready.

But, the Bills are not going into an off-season with Peterman and A.J. McCarron as the only QB’s so they are already better off.

The Bills also know they have their guy at QB. So, the losing feels much better.

But, they are still an offense away from contending. Like, an entire offense besides QB.

But enough fanboying Josh Allen. His ways are not sustainable without help. That becomes the resolution.

The Bills will have a lot of money to spend in the offseason, but the draft is where to truly get fresh talent and at a bargain.

New Year’s Resolution: Get Josh Allen another WR and line help using the draft.

Bonus, we won’t get too much into the MLS teams, but for those who do care or are just curious, I’ll give a resolution for them too.

New York Red Bulls New Year’s Resolution: Get home field in the new playoff format, this time it’ll be an actual advantage.

NYCFC New Year’s Resolution: Finish Top Five in the East despite losing David Villa (retirement from MLS).

It has been an awful few season for New York Sports. Nets coach Kenny Atkinson is now the longest tenured coach in New York sports. He was hired in just 2016 (Devils coach in 2015, but not play in New York)

There has been a lot of losing, an an incredible turnover in coaches and regime changes.

However, success take a lot, and it takes a long time. But, if each of these team can accomplish these resolutions, or at least attempt to come close, they will be on the fast track to success.
