The New York Jets face the Green Bay Packers in their home finale on Sunday afternoon. The tank fans may get disappointed because the game is winnable.
It is Sunday and it is week 16. In what likely is Todd Bowles‘ final appearance at MetLife Stadium as the Jets coach, he brings his 4-10 New York Jets home to face Aaron Rodgers and the 5-8-1 Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers have not been their normal selves in 2018. They fired their coach, Mike McCarthy and are heading to their first early offseason in quite some time. If they don’t beat the Jets on Sunday afternoon, they will finish 0-8 on the road.
No matter the record, however, the Packers still have Aaron Rodgers on their side. At 35 years old he is still going strong, with 23 touchdowns vs. only two interceptions. He’s been banged up but he can still get the job done.

Through the years, these two teams have met twelve times, with the Jets winning eight to lead the overall series.
The Packers have won the last two in a row, including the most recent battle back in 2014, a contest that ended with a 31-24 Packers win.
As far as the draft goes, and the tanker fans, the Jets head into the game with the third overall pick.
The tankers, however, may not be thrilled once the game ends. This one is very winnable for the Jets.
Coming off of games against the Bills and Texans, Sam Darnold faces a much more beatable defense in Green Bay.
Coming into the game, the Packers defense ranks 24th in Football Outsiders DVOA ratings, near the bottom of the league.
Comparatively, the Bills and Texans are ranked 3rd and 7th respectively.
As far as yards per game, the Packers are ranked 18th in the league.
Darnold played arguably his best game as a pro last week against the Texans. Any questions about whether or not he could be “the guy” were answered last week and the week before against the Texans.
Don’t forget about paying attention to Jamal Adams either. We all know how much fun it is to watch him play. The two things we want to see are Darnold continuing to improve and Adams continuing to show the world how good he is.
Aaron Rodgers has been banged up. He can’t move around the way he could when he was younger. I know I am excited to see if Adams can get to him. Henry Anderson posted three sacks last week. Who wants to see him eat some more?
Let’s go Jets. Worry about the draft after week 17.
