New York Giants: 3 players who need to step up the most in Odell Beckham Jr.’s absence
The New York Giants will once again be without Odell Beckham Jr. this Sunday, so they will need other players to emerge. Who needs to have a big game in Beckham’s absence?
The New York Giants will enter Sunday’s game vs the Colts without Odell Beckham Jr. being able to play. This is not a new trend for Giants fans as he has battled injuries the last two seasons.
Regardless, Odell is still a star and a massive piece to this offense. The Giants were triumphant without him vs the Redskins but has nothing without him vs the Titans last week.
The Giants are not playing for anything besides pride and dignity at this points, but still need to show up to play.
Big Blue might have an offseason where we experience a lot of turnover. If this happens, it would be the first time in a long time for the Giants.
We know that Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. will not be going anywhere for a while, no matter who the QB is next year.
That is why this game is so important for other offensive players on the Giants. It is tough to take anything that happens in these two games with real value because it is, essentially, garbage time.
However, the Colts are still playing for a playoff spot, so there are plenty of reasons to think it would be impressive if the Giants prevailed this Sunday.
Even if we fast forward to next week against the Cowboys, they could also be using the Giants as a path to the playoffs.
So, the Giants might not need to win anything, it would be more ideal for the future if they didn’t.
But, with a 2019 re-build almost eminent at this point, Giant players who have not emerged still need to.
With Odell out, there needs to player who step up in a massive way to fill his spot.
Here are players who need to step up big in Odell’s absence.
