New York Giants: Current NFL QBs who could start for the Giants in 2019
Kyle Lauletta?
I am a firm believer that Kyle Lauletta should not touch the field in 2018 again. The Giants are playing for nothing and there is nothing he can show them this year that matters.
However, 2019 is a whole new season.
Kyle Lauletta is likely not the guy. He has been bubble wrapped basically all season seeing the field only in garbage time. He has been inactive plenty of times too.
However, getting a QB can be difficult. If the Giants were to wait until the later rounds of the draft for a QB it would likely be another Kyle Lauletta.
But, if the Giants think he can be the guy they need to go all-in on him in 2019. Give him all the number one reps in camp, have him start all the pre-season games, really go for it.
That would be the best thing for him if the Giants were to go that route. It is not too late to give him the green light as a starter in the NFL. Just do not wait for absolute garbage time to do so.
I do not think the Giants will go into 2019 with Lauletta and Eli and no one else on the roster. They will likely bring someone else in.
However, if they want to start Lauletta 2019 is a whole new year and they can choose to do so. He is still on his rookie contract so building around him would be easy.
This is not an option the Giants are likely to take, but one that they have, even if it is their last.
The Giants should bring in a new QB in 2019. They are going to have to get creative in order to do so, but it is their job to put out a winning product like this city deserves.
