New York Giants: Current NFL QBs who could start for the Giants in 2019

For the first time since 2004, I have questions as to who the New York Giants QB should be going into a season. With Eli Manning seemingly on his last leg, should the Giants move on in 2019? If so, who are options currently in the NFL?

The New York Giants, as the season progresses seem like they will bring back Eli Manning for one last run in 2019. However, there are still reasons to believe that the Giants should move on.

In the NFL, quarterbacks do not grow on trees. Actually, it takes a lot of hard work and very methodical roster building to have a successful one.

Eli Manning is turning things around. Multiple touchdowns games down the stretch and the Giants were winning.

Then, most recently, they got shut out at home.

So, the verdict is still out on Eli for 2019. He is set to cost $23M against the cap in 2019.

If he does come back, that is a hefty price to some one his age and a QB who has not won that many games the last two years.

There is always the option that Eli restructure his contract and comes back for a lower price so the Giants can still build around him.

However, he and the Giants cannot do something like that year after year.

There is also talks of the Giants potentially drafting a QB in the 2019 NFL Draft.

But, a recent stretch of wins likely takes the Giants out of the running for a value pick to do that.

So, with Sauqon Barkley and Odell Beckham both about to be in the prime of their careers, the Giants can’t have QB play keep hindering their offense.
