We go back into the New York Jets latest debacle and find three positive takeaways from the team’s sixth straight loss and clinch of an under .500 record.

This is getting old, is it not, New York Jets fans? I know many are hoping for the tank so we can draft Nick Bosa, but that doesn’t make the losses any easier to watch.

Sunday, the Jets followed a familiar script, starting out with the lead and letting it slip through their fingers late.

Some was different. It’s been a long time since the Jets had a double-digit lead, and they led 16-0 against the Titans. They also haven’t lost the lead in the final minute in quite some time like they did on Sunday either.

They are typically unsuccessful in the red zone, and on Sunday they didn’t score a touchdown on three trips. The Jets are last in red zone offense which is a great way to lose more games than you win.

Touchdowns are how you win games in the NFL. Five field goals from Jason Myers will not lead to wins on the scoreboard very often.

Josh McCown was the quarterback for the third consecutive game, though it seems like it didn’t have to be that way after hearing the coach after the game:

Isn’t that the coach’s fault? Doesn’t he decide who gets the reps? Never mind, that’s for another post on another day.

Believe it or not, however, we were able to come up with three takeaways of a positive nature from this game. Read on and I’ll prove it.
