Bright future
This thing goes hand in hand with the last slide about the bright past. Right now, I wouldn’t say it is the worst time to be a New York sports fan, but it is far from the best.
This is just the grace period. The period in between winning championships and winning championships.
So, we already analyzed the history to be thankful for. So, now we can talk about what to be thankful for in the future.
The Knicks, well, Zion Williamson. I don’t think much more needs to be said about that.
The Islanders have a point per game scorer in Mat Barzal.
The Rangers said outright they are focusing on youth, but we will go more into them.
The Yankees are winning games while still having the gems of their lineup still on rookie contracts.

The Nets are working towards bringing team effort back into the NBA.
The Jets have Sam Darnold.
The Bills have Josh Allen.
The Giants have Saquon Barkley.
Sports works in waves. That is how it is. You strive for excellence and sometimes getting there takes misery in between, almost exclusively does.
Just be thankful there are young stars in New York right now. It might be at the end of some wonderful eras, but it is for the better.
Be thankful there is a new generation.
