New York Giants: Odell Beckham Jr. could be onto something about the Giants winning out
The New York Giants are on a two game winning streak and it appears that Odell Beckham Jr. might be onto something after his comments last week before the 49ers game.
Before the New York Giants took on the San Francisco 49ers last week on Monday Night Football, Odell Beckham Jr. made a comment that caught the attention of many.
Odell was asked what the goal was for the season, which he replied with “Win eight games.”
Now, a pretty obvious goal, but not anyone really thought was even a possibility.

However, following the 27-23 win over the 49ers, it became somewhat of a possibility for the Giants to run the table.
It was against the 49ers who were without Jimmy Garoppolo, but the Giants second win of the season gave the fans a little bit of hope going into their Week 10 matchup with the Buccaneers.
The Giants went onto win their Week 11 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a final score of 38-35.
Now it’s looking like somewhat of an actual possibility for the Giants to run the table this year.
Of the Giants six remaining games, four of them are against teams who are .500 or worse with few exceptions.
The two exceptions?
The Chicago Bears, who look to be a legitimate threat in the NFC, and the Washington Redskins who are without their starting quarterback, Alex Smith, for the remainder of the season.
This being said, it’s a stretch, but a legitimate possibility for the Giants to finish their season 9-7.
Hopefully, that would be just enough to sneak into the playoffs. 9-7 could also be enough for the Giants to finish atop the NFC East.
The top team in the NFC East at the moment is the Redskins who sit at 6-4 on the year, but as I mentioned earlier, they will be without Alex Smith for the remainder of the season.
This being said, their next man up is Colt McCoy which is a significant hit for the offense.
With the Redskins having games against the Giants, Cowboys, Titans, Jaguars and the Eagles twice, it is possible for the Giants to surpass the Redskins based on that schedule and having no QB.
The other two teams in the division are the Eagles, who sit at 4-6 and only one game ahead of the Giants, and the Cowboys.
The Cowboys are 5-5 on the year which puts them only two games ahead of Big Blue which makes it a legitimate possibility to catch up with them especially since the two will face off in Week 17.
At this moment in time, it looks as if it would be more likely for the Giants to get a playoff bid by route of an NFC East title rather than a Wild Card.
The reason for this is because there are several teams in the NFC such as the Vikings, Panthers and Seahawks who look to be in a better position for a Wild Card berth.
The New York Giants are very much down, but they are far from out. Somehow.
