New York Giants: Do not give up on Eli Manning yet, he dazzled vs the Bucs
Football personalities and fans alike have been calling for New York Giants QB Eli Manning’s head for the better part of three years, but slow down and don’t give up on the two-time Super Bowl MVP quite yet.
New York Giants fans and NFL personalities alike gave up on Eli Manning years ago because of his plethora of interceptions he has thrown year in and year out.
However, Manning’s performance on Sunday turned back the clock and he looked as if he should be competing for the MVP, not his job for next season.
Against the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon, Manning threw for 231 yards with two touchdowns while throwing 17 completed passes on 18 attempts.

Numbers which would put him atop the MVP conversation if he did it somewhat consistently this season.
As I’ve been saying, since everyone started asking for another quarterback in New York, Eli Manning isn’t great, but a good part of his falling off is thanks to his offensive line.
Eli Manning hasn’t had a good offensive line in years, and because of that he has looked as if he doesn’t have any business being an NFL quarterback.
Sunday afternoon on the other hand, Eli made it impossible for anyone to speak badly about his performance.
Manning’s performance then posed the question of “What does this mean for the future of the franchise?”
Going into their Week 10 matchup with a 1-7, record it was assumed the Giants would wind up with a top-five pick, and then would use that pick to take a quarterback in order to move on from Manning.
But now, with his unreal performance during Week 11, it has become a question of whether or not the Giants will move on from the veteran QB following the season.
If he was given a halfway decent offensive line, it might look like a completely different quarterback under center.
So the question is, would you rather build up the offensive line and wait for a Manning replacement?
Would you rather take a quarterback now and see how he fares compared to that of Eli Manning?
