The New York Knicks are unsurprisingly off to a poor start this season. However, it allows us to not lose vision of the bigger picture. Here are three ideal things that could happen to the Knicks within the next calendar year.

The New York Knicks are losing games, but they are entertaining to watch and almost all players are slowly but surely living up to their potential. It is the perfect formula.

So, the New York Knicks still have a long way to go this NBA season. The best part about losing so early on in the season is that it allows us to not lose sight of the big picture.

The Knicks are still a young team without their best player in Kristaps Porzingis.

Things are just going to chug along and David Fizdale is going to keep his rotation going.

Although it is not ideal to lose almost every game, and it might not exactly be encouraging to have Tim Hardaway be a leading scorer on an NBA team, the Knicks are in decent shape.

The upcoming draft class might not be the deepest ever, but there is still immense potential in the first few picks. We will get into that later.

As the free agency picture continues to shrink, like how Jimmy Butler is already reported to be signing and extension with the Philadelphia 76ers, things are becoming more clear on who the Knicks could realistically get.

So, really all the Knicks have to do is what they have been and they could set themselves up with a top three pick, get healthier, move some pieces around, and encourage free agents to come along for the ride that looks like is about to begin.
