The New York Jets have a game on Sunday afternoon against the Buffalo Bills in an interesting situation. Here are some things for fans to keep in mind.

Can you believe we are already at week ten? The New York Jets head home for one more game before the bye against their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills.

From an NFL perspective, it’s not exactly the most interesting game in the history of the league. The 3-6 Jets are headed home to MetLife Stadium to face the Buffalo Bills, with their 2-7 record.

Then we have the battle of the backup quarterbacks. As everyone knows by now, Josh McCown gets the start for the Jets with Sam Darnold sidelined by a foot injury. For the Bills, they are way down on the depth chart:

So we have a legendary matchup between Josh McCown and Matt Barkley. I don’t think the guys that write the record books need to stay ready for this one. But, I digress.

These two teams go back to the old days of the AFL, meeting 115 times coming into this one. The Bills lead the overall series with a record of 61-54. The Jets, however, have won three out of the last four, including a 31-24 decision at MetLife Stadium last November.

Now it’s a very winnable game, even with McCown at quarterback. Over the last three games the Bills have put up twenty points. If the Jets defense plays like they did last week, the offense should be able to do enough.

This week, I wanted to give Jets fans a few things just to keep in mind as they watch them, as well as when they react after the game is over.
