Eli  Manning

Every single one of you reading this, knew this was going to be the first pick. On paper, Eli Manning is having the best season of his career.

He is completing passes at the highest percentage (68.3) of his career. He’s on pace for 4500+ passing yards, and is in top 10 in a lot of passing categories across the league.

All that being said, Manning’s career is essentially over at the end of this season. People were freaking out over Ben McAdoo’s decision to bench Manning, ending his consecutive starts streak.

Was he was right in making that decision?

Manning’s pocket awareness has been so sub-par. I understand his offensive line is giving him no help, but knowing this, Manning needs to plan accordingly.

It seems like if one person is pressuring Manning, he turtle’s and takes the sack without stepping up in the pocket. Things that many other immobile quarterbacks are deft at.

It’s not Manning’s fault alone, but his lack of consistency with arguably the best offensive weapons in the league, stick him directly on this list.

However, the biggest thing about his year in correlation to the Giants performance is how the Giants were supposed to be competing. They are not.

They had the second overall pick in a quarterback rich draft. They went in another direction.

The Giants truly believed they could compete this year, yet, here they are. Eli is not solely to blame, but as the leader and anchor of the team, the expectation has failed to meet the reality.
