New York Giants: 3 ways the Giants could still ‘lose’ during the Bye Week
Giants still only have one win
The New York Giants get a breather this week. They get to take some time off, figure some things out, relax, and mentally prepare on extra long rest.
However, the Giants are still not playing up to what they thought, and are still only 1-7 on the season.
The Giants can come off the bye week with all the results they wanted to have gone their way or not, for them, they still only have one win.
The Giants are playing for nothing more than pride at this point. Perhaps even just to let Eli Manning ride out the rest of his career here.
However, the Giants still need to take accountability for themselves and figure things out. They need to play better on the field, then worry about everything else later.
The bye week does not mean anything for the Giants, really at all.
They have not shown that they will all of a sudden come out of the bye week, go on a winning spree and make a run for the Super Bowl.
That is the biggest loss in itself. The biggest loss isn’t that they won’t be playing, it is that it does not matter if they were or not, they are just struggling so much right now.
Although it might not matter anyway, the Giants bye week will not be without a lot of stress. In fact, we might be assured of their ill fate even more.
