New York Knicks: Knicks need wins soon to avoid becoming massive failures
By Sam Friedman
The New York Knicks roll into this weekend, prepared to play the Wizards, Bulls, Hawks and Dallas Mavericks. Let’s hope they can get some wins or else things will start to unravel.
The New York Knicks have played a great mix of opponents so far. They’ve played some bad teams, like the Brooklyn Nets too.
Seems like the Knicks and Nets play every week.
Anyway, they’ve played some mediocre teams like the Heat as well. In addition to that, they’ve also played a bunch of incredible teams like the Bucks, Warriors and Celtics.

They now come into Friday, with one of the easiest stretches they will have all season. I for one, will be very disappointed if the team doesn’t go at least 3-1 over their next four games.
Friday night in Dallas, the Knicks will play the Mavericks, who so far have been not been very good. Luka Doncic, and a man who was almost a Knick, Dennis Smith Jr, are the reasons to tune in and watch that one.
Outside of these two guys, the Mavericks are pretty pedestrian. At 2-6, the Mavs are the least winnable game of the four upcoming.
After the Mavericks, the Knicks go to Washington to face the Wizards.
The Wizards are horrendous.
I understand they have John Wall and Bradley Beal, but they hate each other, and everyone else on the team can barely dribble.
It’s time for the Wizards to restart, but who would take on Wall’s contract?
The Knicks need to win games like this.
Draft position or not, the Knicks need to prove to incoming free agents that they can actually compete with their current nucleus. If not, why would anyone come here?
After the stint in the Nation’s Capital, the Knicks come home to face the Bulls. The Bull’s may actually be worse than the Knicks.
They gave up 92 points to the Warriors in one half. Most of their players play below average defense.
Cameron Payne actually plays big minutes on this team. Knicks should defeat the Bulls handedly.
On the road again, the Knicks travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks. The Knicks defeated Atlanta 126-107 on October 17th.
Everyone on the team contributed, and there’s no reason we shouldn’t see much of the same.
They held Trae Young to one of his worst NBA games so far in his young career.
Sticking Frank Ntilikina on him all game will disrupt the point guard, who struggles against longer guards. Knicks have a better roster, need to win this one.
I’ll continue to reiterate this point, but the Knicks not winning this game will not help their free agency status.
Why would a Kevin Durant or a Kyrie Irving leave teams that are favorites to win the championship?
The allure of New York? Yeah, that hasn’t worked over the past several seasons, why would it work now?
