New York Jets: Five reasons Todd Bowles needs to be fired
Lack of Adjustments
This is a problem that is becoming all too common with Todd Bowles.
I know how all Jets fans feel about Bill Belichick. It’s not any different from the way I feel when talking about, or thinking about, him or his team.
However, when we are being honest football fans we can talk about his biggest attributes. One of the biggest reasons his teams are successful on a game to game basis, beside the quarterback, is the adjustments they make.
When the New England Patriots come out of halftime, they have ALWAYS made adjustments to what they faced in the first half of the game. If it beat them in the first half it is very rare that it beats them in the second half.
Then we have our beloved Jets. It doesn’t necessarily work that way for Todd Bowles and company.
Look at how they played against the Bears last week. The offense started the game predictably. They continued to be predictable until the final gun. Again, the Jets start a rookie at the quarterback position, but that doesn’t mean they can’t try to cross up the defense.
Look at the Monday night game between the Bills and the Patriots. The Bills ran three “Wildcat” plays to start their first drive.
Have you ever seen the Jets do things like that? Nope. The buck stops with Bowles.
