With the World Series now over, Manny Machado is now a free agent, should the New York Yankees make a run at the four-time All-Star?

The New York Yankees are very familiar with Manny Machado as they saw him several times a year while he was with the Orioles for the first six and a half years of his career.

Well, now that he is officially a free-agent there is a chance we see the two-time Gold Glove recipient in pinstripes.

We have heard for years now about the possibility of Manny Machado playing in the Bronx come the 2019 season.

Now, we have reached the offseason and if it’s going to happen it will happen within the next few months.

Manny Machado is a fantastic player who held a .297 average with 37 home runs and 107 RBIs in 2018. Not only that, but Machado is arguably one of the best defensive players in the MLB.

So this being said, it seems like a no-brainer for the Yankees to sign Machado right?

Well, unfortunately it is not nearly that easy.

The Yankees face multiple problems when it comes to the possibility of bringing in Manny Machado.

Machado is a highly sought after player and it’s gonna take a lot of money to bring in the All-Star.

In addition to that, the problem of what to do with Didi Gregorius should the Yankees sign Machado, and the headlines Manny Machado made throughout the 2018 postseason.

But the question of the offseason is, do the pros trump the cons?

It will ultimately come down to this question when the Yankees decide whether or not they will sign the four-time All-Star, and two-time gold glove recipient.
