New York Giants: Three players who will be untouchable at the trade deadline
The New York Giants are in the middle of a fire sale. They are in the “fire everyone” mentality. However, with what is down the road, here are three players who should be off-limits at the deadline.
The New York Giants have already made moves ahead of Tuesday’s 4:00 afternoon deadline. The Giants made those moves earlier in the week then proceeded to lose to the Redskins at home to start this week.
Now, it might seem obvious that the Giants would be willing to listen to offers for just about any player. The Giants even have rare assets that cannot be as useful to them like a star running back and immensely talent wide outs.
So, even though on the surface it does make sense to start from scratch and start over, there are “untouchables” players who stand no chance of being traded away for anything at the deadline.
Let’s get right into it. With the most obvious player on this list.
Okay, before getting all riled up, the number one reason Saquon Barkley tops this list as Giants players who will not be traded at the deadline is for reassurance.
Just a friendly reminder. In a lot of dark moves, and after already having parted ways with fan favorite Damon Harrison before last Sunday’s game, Saquon Barkley is the light at the end of the tunnel.
He will not be touched, in fact he is already emerging as the number one fan favorite and will likely turn into the face of the franchise.
If the Giants get offered three first round picks for Saquon, they should not take it. It will take more than three drafts to find another talent like Barkley.
The trade deadline might be a mess for the Giants and their fans, but Saquon will should be the player with the least amount of worries.
Next player, is someone you might have heard of, but also in an interesting situation.
