New York Knicks player Damyean Dotson continues to prove that he is a valuable NBA player. It’s time for David Fizdale to give Dotson a shot in the starting lineup.

On Wednesday night, the New York Knicks squared off with the Miami Heat and Damyean Dotson was the lone bright spot in a blow-out loss.

But, once upon a time, this would’ve been a marquee matchup.

In the late 90s, these two teams were massive rivals. Last night it seemed like the teams were playing in a high school gym, no one was there.

I understand where the Heat fans are coming from. Neither team is all that exciting, who would want to go to that game?

The takeaway from the Knicks however was the continued surge of Damyean Dotson. Not to toot my own horn, but I have been raving about this guy since he joined the team last season. This makes me the smartest person ever.

Dotson encompasses the Knicks vision going forward. Every night, they are going to compete. They may not win 30 games this season, but no one is going to walk all over them this season. Fizdale will not stand for it!

Last night’s score line may show the contrary, but the Knicks player’s are still competing. Dwyane Wade‘s high praise for former coach Fizdale is all the cosign that Knicks fans should need to show where the franchise is heading.

Over the first three games, Dotson has showed that he belongs in the starting lineup. The Knicks don’t seem to be able to create for themselves outside of Dotson.

Why not give him a fair shot?

The Knicks are at a point where it is okay to experiment an figure things out. So, why not at least ride the hot hand for right now. That hot hand is Dotson and the Knicks should give him a shot.

So, here are the reasons why he should start.
