Snacks, the defense, and who’s going to catch the ball

Another line to keep an eye on is the defensive line.

Other than Damon “Snacks” Harrison, this unit is quite young, but quite talented.

Dalvin Tomlinson is only in his second year, and BJ Hill is only in his rookie season. All are playing very well in the run game but haven’t made much of an impact in the pass game as between Snacks, Tomlinson and Hill have combined for 2 sacks.

Kerry Wynn is also a player to watch for in the defensive front. Since the pre-season, he has really been a spark for this defense. He has only had .5 of a sack, but he has 15 tackles and a forced fumble and has been a player that pops off the screen at times for the Giants.

Now, there are many other questions surrounding this Giants team right now.

Two good battles to watch out for are who will win out the third wide receiver position for the Giants and who will win the third corner back position.

These guys can be battling it out to see if one of them will even be on the roster next season.

For the WR’s, Cody Latimer and Russell Shepard each signed one year prove it deals with the Giants this offseason.

Neither has really pulled away from one another but each have been on the field as the third receiver for the Giants. Latimer has six catches for 108 yards.

Shepard has just four catches for 61 yards.

Now, onto the corner backs.

B.W. Webb and Donte Deayon have been slated as the third corners. Webb has seen most of the action lately.

Deayon is the younger of the two but Webb has been the one they have gone to for the more experience. Each will be free agents this offseason.

With the season practically over, will the Giants see if Deayon can make an impact or will they continue to ride the veteran Webb?

A reason why these two will be under a microscope is because this offseason, the Giants will be getting back Sam Beal.

The Giants used a third round pick in this coming NFL draft to draft Beal in the supplemental draft.

Sam Beal was touted as one of the best supplemental draft players in a long time, if not ever.

Now. onto the most important guy on the field, let’s see what makes the Giants’ QB situation worth watching.
