Eric  Ebron

Here is a player that drew some interest from Jets fans when the 2014 draft was approaching. Instead, he is coming up against the Jets this weekend.

Eric Ebron was the 10th overall pick of the 2014 draft, going to the Detroit Lions. His best year as far as catches and yards came in 2016 with 61 for 711. The year before was his top touchdown output with five.

Now, he is playing the best ball of his career, with five touchdowns scored in just five games. Ebron is 25 years old and with an arm like Luck throwing to him, has a lot of great football ahead of him.

T.Y. Hilton has already been ruled out, as has Jack Doyle, so look for Ebron to get a strong share of targets on Sunday. Ebron faced the Jets one time as a member of the Lions and he posted three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown.

This will be an interesting matchup as the Jets have fared well against tight ends so far:

Keeping this record intact will be essential for the Jets to make it back to .500 this weekend.
