The New York Knicks have had an incredible preseason going 3-0 and beating the Wizards, Nets and Pelicans so far. Is this a sign of what’s to come for the Knicks?

The New York Knicks have been one of the teams who have been talked about being towards the bottom of the league.

Without their star player in Kristaps Porzingis, everyone counted them out since the beginning.

But, not so fast. The Knicks are off to a 3-0 preseason start and with a game against the Wizards Monday at 7:30 EST, the Knicks can truly make a statement.

Now, to be fair it is the preseason and many teams are just experimenting with different rotations and not playing their stars too much, but still.

The preseason has helped the Knicks get an idea of what to expect out of their young guns such as Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson, who have excelled so far.

Knox is averaging a touch under 11 points to go along with eight rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in a little over 27 minutes per game.

The question from this becomes what kind of minutes will he see when the regular season starts?

The Knicks rotation has been a large question mark when it comes to who they will start when the regular season tips off.

In each of their preseason games, they have gone with a starting five of Emmanuel Mudiay, Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway, Knox and Enes Kanter.

If the Knicks keep this starting five, which they have no reason not to, then you can expect to see similar production from Knox when the games actually matter.

Another player who has made the most of the minutes he has been given is Mitchell Robinson.

Robinson didn’t play against the Pelicans as David Fizdale made a decision to keep him off the court. But in the two games he has played, he has impressed many.

In the two games Robinson has played, he has gone for a total of 26 minutes in which he went for eight points, nine rebounds and three blocks. If he is given a little more time on the court, then you can expect to see this production go up drastically.

If the Knicks preseason is a sign of what’s to come in the 2018-19 regular season, then Knicks fans should be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
