The “3 Goods”

Good #1: Sterling Shepard.

Sterling Shepard did it again. He didn’t dazzle every play or second of this game but he scored a TD once again and proved he is a legit scoring threat for this offense.

Shepard finished as the teams leading receiver with 77 yards and the score. Eli looked for Shepard often and it paid off early.

Shepard was not exactly around all game, but he was a reason the game was even close in the beginning. He did make the catch on the two point conversion too.

So to our standards, catching the ball beyond the goal line for points on two separate occasions is good enough.

Good #2: Saquon (again)

Once again, it is hard to be upset with how Saquon Barkley played. Although he was barely used and was a non-factor when the game still could have swung either way, Saquon still found the end zone.

Barkley totaled over 100 yards and led the team in rushing despite only having 10 carries. It is alarming he still had only 44 yards rushing, but he finds the end zone enough to make up for it.

His leaping TD over the goal line to make the game 26-18 in the 4th, or in other terms make the game interesting again, was enough to be a bright spot of this game.

That is a cool way to score in the National Football League.

Good #3: The defense

It sounds crazy, but the Giants’ defense should get a good here. Although the Saints ended up racking up 33 points, the game got away because of a lack of offense, not defense.

At the half, the Game was only 12-7 in the favor of the Saints. The game was still in reach and the defense is to thank for that .

The defense held the Saints to four field goals, including holding them to a field goal after a fumble.

The game slipped away in the second half for the Giants and the defense, but its hard to blame them. They were constantly on the field and everything caught up to them. That includes the Saints simply being really good.

Now, let’s dive into the ugly.
