The Buffalo Bills failed to capitalize off a truck ton of momentum from last week as they fell to the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin this week. The only takeaway is that someone needs to get Josh Allen some help.

The Buffalo Bills answered coming off one of the biggest upsets in NFL history, and a breakout performance from Josh Allen, by doing absolutely nothing on offense in a lopsided loss in Green Bay on Sunday.

The good news is that the Packers are a very formidable opponent and an outstanding home team so no one really stood a chance.

However, the bad news is that the Buffalo Bills were no exception and they failed to even score a point in the 22-0 blowout.

It is very easy to point a ton of fingers and blame officiating, the Packers being better, poor offensive line play.

But, considering this is exactly what has been the problem with the Bills all year, and what will continue to be, the only reason the Bills lose so much and so badly when they do is not an excuse. It is not a fluke. It is hardly ever bad luck.

The Buffalo Bills simply do not have enough to talent to be a respectable NFL team. The defense has its hiccups but it is fine. Tre’Davious White held Davante Adams under 100 yards.

The secondary even picked off Aaron Rodgers by creating situations to be around the ball enough.

What the problem with the Buffalo Bills is, is their abysmal offensive personnel.

Aside from Josh Allen, the rookie QB who has done his job, and an aging LeSean McCoy who is not even used properly, the Buffalo Bills have almost no one reliable on offense.

Kelvin Benjamin is coming around but he still drops a lot of passes and doesn’t seem to be committed. Zay Jones is still waiting to have a breakout game. The rest of the wideouts, most people have never even heard of.

The offensive line struggled at times last year, lost its two best players this offseason, did next to nothing to replace them, and guess what? It is showing.

To be fair, yes, Josh Allen missed some easy throws and threw some awful interceptions on ducks he just hurled up. But, and not that I am, it is easy to make excuses for him because he is always running for his life and then panics because it is was still only his third start.

The Packers had a brilliant approach on defense. They smothered the Bills, got to Josh Allen, and didn’t let the Bills’ lackluster talent beat them by making a lot of mistakes.

LeSean McCoy touched the ball less than 10 times in the loss, so that was like handing the Packers a gift.

So, Josh Allen’s best asset is McCoy and they game tactics took it away from him. Allen never stood a chance.

Here is a riveting stat, a stat that basically explains it all and the stat that makes the Bills a national punchline once again:

It is insane that Allen had only five chances, at the time of that tweet, where he wasn’t being bombarded. Not Allen, not Rodgers, not any QB, could possibly manage a game or make plays with that little time.

Aside from him constantly needing to make plays while escaping, the Bills should also get him a running back that they use. Allen needs plays after a hand off and get ready to make a play and read the defense.

The Bills need to get him some players who actually know how to catch the ball and get open and create space. Get him an actual speedster who can run down and catch his throws, he can throw darts downfield like its nothing.

The Bills need to get Josh Allen help.

GM Brandon Beane and crew need to at least try to not set him up for failure. We saw what Allen can do when set up with great field position and given a playbook where he doesn’t have to make every throw perfect in Minnesota, the Bills won.

But, if the Buffalo Bills want to get the most out of Josh Allen they need to get him help. He makes some bad throws, but also many great ones.

He will always duck or dive around the first sack attempt or two, but he can’t the five after that. When the entire Packers line is in your face, it is difficult to do things.

Josh Allen needs to develop. This was one his down games in a rookie season that will be filled with them.

There will also be games where he shows enough to overcome the lack of talent around him to win games.

But my goodness do the Bills need help on offense. It even goes beyond the system they implement.

Next week, the Bills host the Tennessee Titans and their defense is not going to make things any easier for Allen.
