Defense vs Defense

The New York Giants are either really lucky or really unfortunate that Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee is coming off a bad game.

Either he will  anchor their defense like he always does when healthy or he will be in his own head and make some mistakes.

Either way, the Giants will not win this game if they do not keep up on their end of the defensive battle.

No matter how it is twisted, Sean Lee is an asset to the Cowboys’ defense. He will be out there and the Giants will have to deal with it.

This is truly a big test for Alec Ogeltree.

Is the guy the Giants gave up picks for finally going to be able to show his worth?

The Giants are once again without Olivier Vernon so he is he going to have be able to both rush the passer and be a body down the field.

The Cowboys’ pass rush might not be what it use to be, but it is still capable of giving Eli Manning a difficult time.

Sean Lee might not be able to be contained but that opens the door for the rest of the Cowboys defense.

This game will likely be won or lost how it always is, in the trenches. The Giants made a lot of good moves to bolster the defense after losing Jason Pierre-Paul, but they are going to have to find a way to keep up with the Cowboys.

The battle is not straight up Sean Lee vs Ogeltree, but if one of them visibly outshines the other, that could end up making all the difference.
