Brooklyn Nets: Top 5 plays from Jason Kidd’s illustrious career
By Sam Friedman
3. Circus shot vs the Bulls
This shot shouldn’t have even been attempted. One of those plays where the coach goes “no, no, no,no,no….YES! Exactly how we drew it up”
This game may not be as significant as some of the other plays in the Kidd’s career, but boy is watching this replay fun.
This Bulls’ roster, led by Ben Gordon, Chris Duhon, a rookie Joakim Noah, and a relevant Andres Nocioni . This was definitely not your dad’s Bulls team, but still a professional team.
With 30 seconds left, the Nets were up one, and looking for an easy bucket to wrap this game up.
Instead of that, Kidd took one of the hardest shots to make. It was difficult even if he were playing a game of HORSE.
Kidd took the ball baseline, jumped away from the hoop, and finger rolled the ball over right shoulder. Even the physics of the shot don’t make any sense.
If you’re one of his teammates, and that shot goes up, you have thinking that they could’ve had a better look.
Kidd had a knack for magic throughout his career. Kidd making a half-court shot, or throwing up a shot backwards was never out of the question.
For sheer dumb luck, 4.75/5 spilled drinks for Kidd’s circus shot.
