The long ball

The New York Giants, as we discussed, have the better QB. But, the QB just orchestrates everything. It is the other position players who make the plays.

At this point, the Giants have the advantage in terms of potential big play makes.

Aside from running back, which Leonard Fournette is better than the unproven Saquon Barkley, the Giants have more potential to have a player bust out a big play and win the game.

Evan Engram is not much better or worse than the wildly inconsistent Austin Seferian-Jenkins, the Jags’ tight end.

Of course, it is impossible to talk about play makers and not mention Odell Beckham Jr.

He will be the best receiver on the field on Sunday. Even Sterling Sharpe might be better than the Jags’ Donte Moncrief.

Both teams have their fair share of players. Even many aspects of each team’s offense is relatively close, however, it is tough to look at the Jags’ depth-chart and think a guy like Keelan Cole can be a massive threat over what big blue has.

This game could come down to a big time player making a big time play. Most football does. Considering it is only Week 1 of the season, the Giants have more potential to bust out a massive play or get a stellar performance from one of their players.

The Giants can beat the Jaguars because as long as the game is close, the Giants have the edge is busting the game open with a single play.

Their offense is overall more of a threat.
