New York Giants: 3 Reasons why the Giants can beat the Jaguars in Week 1
They still have Eli
The New York Giants’ season still rides on the arm of Eli Manning. Even more than a decade since his debut, this still stands true.
Although the Giants have Odell Beckham and Saquon Barkley behind him, his performances this year will still directly impact the Giants’ results.
However, luckily for the Giants, Eli Manning is better than their quarterback, Blake Bortles.
Bortles did a great job last season. He knew his limitations and managed to not mess up badly enough to costs the Jaguars too many games.
But, going into this Sunday, he will not be the best QB on the field. That honor still belongs to Eli Manning.
Eli is no young buck anymore. Going into his age 37 season it is time the Giants try to lighten his load thus them drafting Saquon.
But, when push comes to shove this Sunday in the Meadowlands, the Giants have the best chance to win because they have the better QB.
Eli is more clutch then Bortles. He knows how to win games better than Bortles. Even if you take both signal callers at their best, Eli is better because he is smarter and more crafted.
Both QBs throw a lot of interceptions, but if the Giants can rattle Bortles he won’t be able to lead the Jags anywhere.
The NFL is still a sport where the QB is the most important position on the field. And in what won’t be the case for most of the Giants games this year, Eli is the better QB.
This gives the Giants a massive advantage. Even if this one ends up coming down to game management.
Eli is better than Blake. That might make the Giants better than the Jags on Sunday.
